Project 62 AGM - Cranmore 6th May 2006 Around a dozen members travelled to Cranmore for our 2006 AGM held 6th May. The ESR had organised a reserved section of a carriage on the service train (hauled of course by 30075) for our meeting after which a buffet lunch with drinks was served by the Committee. The meeting approved the minutes of the last AGM, re-elected the current Committee members, approved the group accounts and heard various reports from Committee members. Dave Round, who is also an organising member of the 6695 Group, informed the meeting of the last year's progress and launch into service of "Taffy Tank" 6695 at Swanage. The meeting congratulated the 6695 Group on their achievement following a long restoration, which, whilst Dave Round smiles now, we all know has caused many sleepless nights! Following lunch, members were able to look round the site and works whilst the service train did a "Driver Experience" run before a final trip along the line. Thanks are extended to the ESR for arranging the day. The AGM in
2007 will be held at Corfe/Swanage as alternating between
there and Cranmore was agreed at our AGM in 2005. Photos
below show the locos at Cranmore and some of our members
attending on the day. Steve Masters had to answer
questions from inside the firebox of 5637, which was
being prepared for its annual boiler inspection! |
