Southampton Athlete raises over £600 for Project 62 in the Swanage "Beast" Half Marathon

Southampton “Accolade Health & Fitness Centre” based runner Jackie Viana completed the Swanage “Beast” Half Marathon on 31st August and has raised more than £600 for Project 62.

Jackie, who works at Skandia Life in Southampton, is interested in our disabled access initiative with 30076 and told Project 62: “I ran on this occasion to help Project 62 raise funds for their disability access locomotive appeal. The Swanage "Beast" is recognised as one of the most difficult half marathons in the UK, so it is appropriate as an able bodied person that I took on the most difficult challenge for this cause”.

Jackie is seen here before the race, running across Corfe Common and after the race with the Project appeal board with Corfe Castle in the background.

Jackie has offered to run for Project 62 again next year where her target is to beat her time of 2 hours 25 minutes achieved this year. As a group we need to support Jackie and to continue to raise sponsorship money for her effort on our behalf. You can still donate to support Jackie - please EMAIL US for a sponsorship form.
